Hi Petteri,

I just want to thank you for the photos of the old track at Monza, it is in remarkable condition. Unfortunately, I have never been there but I did travel to Finland to watch Rally Finland in 1972. Back then it was known as the Rally of a Thousand Lakes. I'd love to come back and see it again. Thanks again, Ian aka Iraussieguy. Melbourne, Australia

Hello Ian,

you´re welcome. I´m happy that my photos from Monza found an appreciative audience:-)

I made my pilgrimage to Monza on the 2008 GP weekend. Luckily I went there already on Thursday and had time to circle around the banked oval with my rollerblades on - quite a difficult task because of the rough surface and the gradient. Actually, I had to take them off to be able to reach the top of the banking (with great difficulty).

I´ve raced on the banked circuit many times with a 1967 F1 car... in a computer game called Grand Prix Legends! That´s why I was so happy to finally visit the place myself. And of course I´m a big fan of the old Grand Prix movie starring James Garner.

Greetings from Helsinki, Finland Petteri
