Thanks for the note. The idea that the dark branches slightly warmer than the snow caps are absolutely correct. In the previous day had above-zero temperatures, snow fell during the night. Branches did not have time to cool down much. But the main reason is a dark color sticks. The morning sun soon warmed the dark branches. They became wet, and snow caps began to slide down, freezing when separated from the branches.
