Thank you Peter.
I have just returned form Tonga to Brisbane, Australia.
Ian - it is amazing - in the thumbnail this formation in the foreground looks exactly like a large wild cat of some sort lying watching the sea (well, my eyes aren't all that good - so that's how it looked to me at any rate..)
I had to enlarge it to make sure it wasn't an animal!! And it turned out to be a lovely peaceful scene instead!! (((; Beautiful, in fact.
Warm wishes, Hazel
I think you may be very Seth Effrican, Hazel - seeing wild cats before your eyes!! I still can't believe you have large animals that wander into your garden and destroy your best plants. But as for cats, I have had the experience of seeing one of these large cats in Tonga. And it was up in the tree tops - and I have the photo to prove it.
And by the way, I am glad to take you to this peaceful and isolated beach.
I am sure you are neither knitting too much nor mythologising too much, dear Mira.
For an island in the south Pacific that may be subject to tsunami events perhaps needs gaurding and giant lions looking out to sea are very appropriate.
So thanks Mira and Hazel for spotting them. (I guess that now makes them leopards.)
How nice to visit an island like TONGA!!! Good shot!
Greetings Непоеду and Rainer,
Welcome to my gallery. Tonga must certainly seem like a far distance from Russia and Europe. It has some quite unique features both physically and culturally that keep me engaged.
I pleased that you like what you have seen.
Warm regards from Australia.
