Ha sido llamado la polinesia de chile por la similitud de los rasgos de sus habitantes que se cree fueron los que colonizaron esta isla. Llamada "El Ombligo del Mundo".

Hi Jeff,

I mean the stoneman and everybody else can look on my pictures and if you on panoramio, you have the duty to give your vote to the contest. I think the stonemans too. They haven't to look in the sky.

Best regards from Germany, a888♠.

Hi a888♠

Winning the contest is your life meaning. Your life are very simple. You should be a very happy human being. I have given you my votes on your photos that I like. Good luck.

In Hong Kong, there is a naturally formed stone on top of hill in Shatin. Its shape looks like a woman carrying a baby on her back. People said she is waiting for her husband. It is called Amah Rock.

According to a legend, the faithful wife of a fisherman climbed the hills every day, carrying her son, to watch for the return of her husband, not knowing he had been drowned at sea. In reward for her faithfulness she was turned into a rock by the Goddess of the Sea so that her spirit could unite with that of her husband. Similar legends abound throughout the whole of China — the number of "Mong Fu Shek" rocks in the country is a great one. Many Chinese classical poems were dedicated to this kind of rock.

The rock is a popular tourist destination; the whole Sha Tin District can be seen from there. It is also a place of worship for Chinese women and stands as a symbol of women's loyalty and faithfulness.

Best regards, Jeff
