Marbiz on December 20, 2009

Hi Jean. Has this now turned into mountains of snow in the Carolinas? I heard on our News bulletins that many eastern US states are experiencing severe snow conditions. Heading for a White Christmas?

Jean Gregory Evans on December 20, 2009

Marbiz, at my house, we were only on the very edge of the storm. Not far from here, a little over an hours drive, there were 15 to 20 inches. The roads closed with wrecks and parked cars. They are towing them now.

I live not far from the Georgia line and the snow did not cross that line. My brother drove up from Georgia and totally surprised at how much snow there was here. There are reports that we may have a white Christmas!

It fell slushy then during the night, it froze and made for some very crunchy walking.

Merry Christmas if I don't see you!

That's what folks around here say and I often wonder if they don't want me to have a Merry Christmas if they do see me.

;)

Is it hot there? Jean

Klaus, thanks for stopping in. If you hurry, you can hike the mountain tops where there is still plenty of snow and ice. I guess you'd prefer to wait until Spring, at least. The trail awaits!
