...this is Vigo? Nice Overview although it seemed to be foggy.

I recall this place from the movie "das Boot" - The story went there on the jounrney this submarine made.

cheers, michael

José Mª Alvarez Soli… on February 8, 2011

Hi Michael, yes, this is Vigo, I had no idea that this film will roll scenes of Vigo, who filmed some Spanish films, among which highlights "Mondays in the Sun", a film about the work stoppage, a drama that many families in Spain.

Warm regards, José Mª

®mene on February 8, 2011

I was surppized as well. The U-Boat went to Vigo although the germans were not welcome there at this time. From there out in the Biscaya...

cheers michael

What I know is that during WWII, a German submarine, went to one of the Cies Islands, situated at the entrance of the Ria de Vigo, to repair the submarine, now there is a beach on the island known as the Beach of the Germans.

Perhaps the argument that film is based on this fact.

Sincerely, José Mª

®mene on February 9, 2011

...maybe that is the true thing. The synopsis of the movie says only less about it.

cheerio, Jose.

José Mª Alvarez Soli… on February 9, 2011

Hi ®mene, thanks for the link, read the plot of the movie reminded me, yes and saw her, I do not remember the sequence in which leaves Vigo, have been very short.

Warm regards, José Mª
