This is NOT a blue-tongue lizard. (or a blautong skink as named here). It is a shingleback lizard, one of the most common lizards in mallee country. very slow moving. The blue tongue is a little faster and a lot more agressive.

Sadly for you tjampita, you are wrong. Before jumping to conclusions why don't you do a little research? The shingle back is quite often referred to (correctly) as a Blue-tongued lizard. The Blue-tongue lable is actually applied to six different species of lizards. It must be said however that this particular variety of blue-tongue, the Shingle back, is not always lablled as a blue-tongue, however it does deseve the blue-tongue lable, as, like its cousins it does have a distinct blue tongue.
