The month of May brings about a field of Arrowleaf Balsam Root otherwise known as Mule's Ear.
You've got an amazing gallery. My dad wanted me to ask you if you have ties to Logan?
'Spence-ation'--My roots are deep in the Logan/Cache Valley area. Both my Grandfathers were born there, as well as my parents. Thanks for your kind comments.
My dad's side of the family are from Cache Valley. Thanks for getting back to me. I think I went through your whole gallery & love the same areas as you (though I haven't made it to shoot them all).
jestem zachwycona... pięknie ! JOla
Hi Kevin, This is a beautiful field of Mule's Ears, Wyethia amplexicaulis. Their flowers are similar to the Arrowleaf Balsamroot, Balsamorhiza sagittata, but their leaves are actually shaped like a Mule's ear.
Happy Trails, Carlee
