One of Byron, GA's outdoor warning sirens, located on the lower truss of the water tower on Linda St & Main St, behind the fire department. This particular one is known as a Federal Signal 500AT, a dual tone siren, which was installed in the mid 1960s as an air raid warning siren. It was later given control over to the fire department to be used as the city's fire siren, and finally switched over to county-wide radio activation to be used as a severe weather warning siren.
