The name of this narrowboat is that of a life-threatening disease (which the owner had survived) caused by ingestion of asbestos.
This photo taken during the summer of 2006.
PS Contrary to the info under the photo, it is more than 1 km from Basford. Just thought you'd like to know.
Even the Nottingham Market Square is 1 km from Basford!
The Market Square is MORE than 1 km from Basford.
But then, it is supposed to be in Nottingham!
The conversation is rivetting ;>)) it's a good job the photo's worth looking at ;>))
Thanks for the comment and visit. As for 'rivetting', they're what's keeping the boat together: maybe!
thanks for the visit and comment.
Wow. Great name for a boat. There are others like you. Check this out: http://www.weitzlux.com/mesothelioma-survivors_1962248.html
Please don't misunderstand the first entry.
I quoted that the 'owner' of the boat gave it that name. I am not the owner and am not afflicted by Mesothelioma.
Thanks for your concern.
The title of your photo certainly got me here. Glad to see the explanations.
Hi blakelylaw, it appears that a few people got the wrong end of the stick on the issue of Mesothelioma, especially the person whose comment came before yours. I did actually explain all that in the comments to the other picture of the boat. Unfortunately, some people just don't 'see the wider picture'.
