I like this because it shows great 'typicity'! Weather and countryside!

Brian, I have been uploading almost exclusively from the Canon lately and beginning to get to grips with it and enjoying it. The difference in pivture quality is noticeable and once I have sorted out new batteries, I will be well under way!!

Perhaps you wouldn't mind have a look at a couple of pages of photos and let me know if I'm doing anything completely daft with the Canon? I will also ask Lotus_Ou.

Best wishes, Andy

Hello there, Andy. Thanks very much! Glad somebody else likes this apart from me! It was a very enjoyable walk with my sister. We both felt we were on a 'proper' trek. Light nothing special (there was a gentle drizzle the whole time); photo has no pretensions but, as you say, does give a good idea of typical Scotland in the remote areas. Taken with the Ixus. Chuffed you like yours. Have already seen lots of the photos. I'm certainly no expert but they look fine to me. Of course, will keep browsing and expect, as usual, to be impressed. You seem to have really got the hang of Picasa too.

Cheers for now, Brian.

Thanks Brian,

As they say: "Just because I'm paranoid, it doesn't mean they're not out to get me!"

No, I don't know why I wrote that either!

Best wishes, Andy
