The abandoned Clark Air Base Hospital.
Just curious. Did they get the "L" in on the end of the building?:)
Yeah, they did. There's one more white vertical panel outside the frame to the right.
Great memories from '73-'75. Can't believe the long grass.....
I was there in '82-'83 with the Naval Security Group. Took these pix on my first trip back since that time. It's sorta sad as many parts of the base look pretty scruffy.
Iworked here 69-70 in the operating room and this is very sad to see. But at least it is not filled with casulties and that is a blessing. Thanks for the photo!
I worked from 1972-1976 just real sad to see the hospital in the state it is..I was hoping that the philippine government would restore the hospital and the surrounding facilities...the hospital was a great place to study tropical laboratory medicine and there was a program for phillipine laboratory interns...
I was born in this hospital. I was taken back seeing the current condition. Waves of memories of Clark and Angeles washed over me. I miss the "Old Country".
i've been to the place yesterday. The place was really eerie. I wonder when it was abandoned.
Wow, place looks bad. I worked at the hospital from 90-91 left with the evacuation to Subic. Worked with a lot of great people. Wish I had a picture of the hospital from 1990. End of an era.
I was there in 63-64 and witnessed the hospital being built. Workers prolonged the building by mistakenly starting to fill the elevator shaft. It was a superb facility when first built, especially given the horrible one it replaced. Nothing lasts forever!
