As good as they came at Brisbane's fireworks, David. Thanks for the compliments. Probably better than Albany's. But I have been spoilt by Sydney over the last 21 years!

And another New Year Greeting for you.

WOW! Great shot of these fantastic fireworks, Ian! I wish you and your family a Very Happy New Year, Anne

Ian Stehbens on January 4, 2010

Thanks Anne. I went in to town to watch this celebration, alone, but felt that I was there with all our Pano friends. It was my first NY in Brisbane for 20 years and they didn't do fireworks back then.

May 2010 be a peaceful and fulfilling year for you and your family.

Yves and Simona:

Thanks for your appreciative and encouraging responses. The fun and the joy of a night out was mine. Nice to share a tiny bit of it with you, both.

Friendly greetings,

A difficult photo to take. Great result.

Ian Stehbens on January 7, 2010

Thank you, Luca. And Happy New Year, my friend.

I concentrated on the framing and the timing, and let the camera do most of the rest.

Juan Pastor on January 23, 2010

Great shot, Ian. And very difficult too. I like it.

Best regards, Juan.

Ian Stehbens on January 24, 2010

I am glad it is appreciated, Juan. Thanks. And welcome to Brisbane.

EVA_L on January 26, 2010

I could make such picture(of course, no such high quality) from the screen of my TV, dear friend!:)

Ian Stehbens on January 27, 2010

Dear Eva,

It seems to have become a tradition on New Year's Eve for the Sydney Fireworks to go around the world live, arriving in Kiev in time for editing then screening ready for prime-time viewing. And I know now that Ukraine has a real interest in Australia, and your household does in particular.

This image is from the Brisbane event - which is not as spectacular as the Sydney event.

From your balcony you would have a wonderful view of fireworks exploding above the Dnipro. Do they do that in Kyiv?

Peter Dubèl on December 22, 2011

Welcome to the fireworks (vuurwerk) group. I hope it's gonna be a group with many beautiful pictures. Greetings,Peter.

Ian Stehbens on December 22, 2011

Thanks Peter. With New year's Eve only a week away there should be many, especially from Sydney and Shanghai!!
