thanks Spence! doing okay, will be better once this ruddy stone passes. this was one of the first shots out of the new lens, now I'm hoping for some nice sunny days.

Glad you got a nice toy for the holidays. You must've been good last year. :) Sorry to hear about the stone though. I hear they're painful.

it was a real treat (the lens not the stone LOL), got a great deal as well so can't complain. as for the stone it hurts something fierce, but it will get better sometime. how has the weather been treating you? we've been getting lots of snow, getting a good bit tonight so far.

We had a few days of snow, and have a little break right now, but I think we're getting more within a couple of days. Good luck to you.

I'm not real proficient in photography yet. What is an "L" lens?

that is L series lenses, they are canon's top of the line lens. awesome clarity and tough build, very good lens's
