An historic bridge, the second oldest in Australia. Completed in July 1836. It crosses the Macquarie River. It was built by convicts Daniel Herbert and James Colbeck, to a design by John Lee Archer.

Thank you Anna! It's a lovely little town as well, never grew any bigger than when it was first established I don't think.

Groetjes, Paul

Is very interesting the view of this bridge Paul, appears to be a solid construction and with a lot of history

greetings, daniel

Thank you very much for commenting Daniel! Even though they were prisoners who built this, they were also true artisans, and you can't help think that this bridge will outlive many of the modern structures.

Greetings, Paul
