Once, I knew a little hotel, called Sleepy Hollow. So, this is really Sheepy Hollow ! Are they sheeps or maybe wild moufflons ?

I feel sorry for them , not many grass to graze ! Excellent photo, you were lucky to got it. Canada is sooo beautiful, but I have heard it was -40 C degree!

Cheers, Zsuzsanna

Beautiful photograph . Greetings , Barbaros

Hello again, Zsuzsanna! Yes they are wild "bighorn sheep" and I think they are related to the moufflon you mention. They graze all along these hillsides and there is much to eat. We did have some -40, but it is only -10 now:)

Hello, Barbaros. Welcome to my gallery! I am glad you like the picture. Greetings from Canada!!

Excellent capture! We used to see the bighorns in Washington often when I was a kid, but not so much anymore (at least, I haven't).

I'm up visiting family in Anchorage right now. They have Dall sheep that are quite similar looking, except white.

Regards, Bryan

Hi Bryan Thanks. I've always found wildlife sighting are all timing and luck. You may not see them for ages, but you talk to other people and they have seen them regularly.

The Dalls you mention are a thinhorn sheep and are beauties!
