Beautiful light and contrast, Ian, I like it.

Kind regards,

Justin

Thanks Justin. It is a beautiful valley and because of it N/S orientation among the coastal ranges it does experience a great variety of light effects.

Warm regards,

Ian

行者无路 and Andrey:

Thank you both for your praise of this photograph and landscape.

And it is very special to welcome you 行者无路 to my gallery. I am very pleased to communicate with you, for I have been to China a few times and therefore China is a very important interest of mine. But I haven't been to Yunnan, though I have hoped to one day. I have already been enjoying your gallery.

And thank you both for your votes.

Andrey, You have been having a very cold winter it seems, but I guess it is always cold in the winter in Orenburg, right?

Please keep in contact regularly.

Warmest regards,

Ian

Mathias, Thank you for your visit to my gallery. I am very pleased to share this beautiful area with you. You live in a very beautiful part of the world too, and though these mountains and valleys here do not compare in scale or grandeur with the Alps around G-P, these do compare in beauty.

I hope you can visit regularly. Thanks for the vote.

Magnificent depth and focal points. How lush it is in comparison to down here. Paul

Hello Paul. This is the highest rainfall area of south Queensland & northern NSW for that matter, so I always enjoy a visit here myself. This photo was taken before the big February/March wet, so it has only got greener since. Now that winter is coming your rain should do its magic to the landscapes of the south, soon. As they say, "Hang on Winter's coming!"

And a special thanks too for the appreciative remark on the composition.

Warm regards,

Ian
