One of Scotland's many nuclear electricity generation plants. Both are Magnox reactors and are no longer online. The proximity to the waters of the Firth of Clyde provided cooling of the reactor core.

the image above is of Hunterston A, a decommissioned power station next to the site of Hunterston B which is still actively providing electricity to the grid and run by British energy if you look closely at the image above you can see Hunterston B which is the dark gray building behind the trees on the right hand side of the picture

Believe it or not, I visited there - and the control room - in 1966 and then, they referred to A B and C. the Magnox building furthest away from the sea was 'A' the one nearest 'B' and the one you mention as 'B' was to be 'C'. Having now looked at BNFLs website I see they've abandoned this and have classified both Maxnox's as 'A'. I've amended the text accordingly.

Hunterston 'A' is the buildings at the forefront, they are two magnox reactors that run 6 x 60MW sets, the building to the right being referred to as hunterston 'B' is infact the switchyard, Hunterston 'B' is actualy out of view and is a much larger station, each reactor driving single 660MW sets, and is a AGC (advanced Gas Cooled) reactor.
