There are Homes & High school over the back and sadly the fire was suspiciously started by arsonists lucky no damage other than one power pole and loss of power. 15min home trip turned into an 1-1/2 with the tragic flow in the area. the real hero's of the day and the many fire trucks out in the bush in the 35c heat.
Great shot of our Bush and fire helecopter at work
David & Nadia that is a huge load of water you can imagine the turbulence being over the fire like that. not a good sign smoke in the sky near homes. thanks.steve
You are a great reporter. Excellent documentary photos.
Beautiful in full screen Steve the contrasts of the helicopter against the smoke are awesome. Not an easy task fighting fire at those temperatures. Good to hear the brave man did win the fight and damage was kept to a minimum.
A Y and a BO for your great report.
Best wishes, Erik
