Very pretty, Skida! I like the Lake District, it's a great scenery! I am happy to have found your photos!

A lot of holidays spent here. Keswick is my favourite place in the Lakes. I love the High Street. Kevin - my husband and I spent our honeymoon here on the far side of the lake. As you said in a comment to Steve T about Hazelrigg.....memories are made of this.... a of course a good phot helps too.

It was in July last year. We had two weeks holiday and decided to go camping in Scotland on the bikes. Two days before we were due to go the forecasts were dire all across the UK. I suggested the Lakes instead because if it was a washout there was only a 2 hour ride back. This photo was taken during a brief lull in the rain. We lasted 3 days before giving up.

I somehow missed this one Keith and am very happy to be reminded of reality at your expense. My recent (two day) trip was so wonderful this year that I am contemplating a weeks trip next year.... talk about the expense of a washout. Maybe I'll rethink that one a bit.

Cheers - Jethro

We only gave up after 3 days because we were camping, Jethro. I woke up on day three and looked out of the tent to find a new pond just outside complete with a couple of ducks paddling around it. At that point I decided it was home time.

Even in a hotel, a week of rain would be poor reward for using up all my reserves of air-miles mate.

Maybe Alaska instead!
