Same tree at different seasons:
Excellent! Ikebana :)
Beautiful and nice B&W picture May, nicely composed, well done.
Very nice foto; Bedri / Turkey
Vladimir, Arthur, Bedri, thank you all for your nice comments! Best regards, May
It is special to wander into your B&W gallery, May. Special indeed. My first impressions are that I have especially admired your tree images, enjoying your composition and your eye.
But the landscapes and the weather moods are also very good images, but I must admit that I love your coloured landscapes very very much, for the colour.
This set of individual trees are excellent.
Wonderfull tree. L+F
Dear Ian, thank you so much for your comment, sorry, I only just discovered it! I am delighted you like my trees too.
I certainly don't stop taking coloured photos, since I like colours as well very much :) but I have learnt working with b/w at the times, when I had my darkroom and I discovered the clear beauty and expression of b/w photos. That's how it came into my mind to open an own albun in b/w on Panoramio, so that I can frequently upload some photos.
Warm regards, my friend,
I have seen your gallery as the benchmark to aspire to, the gallery of an accomplished photographer and of an artist. This image is a pure example of both. And I also appreciate the genuine conversations and affirmations that you share, and though the growth in Panoramio has limited the opportunities to converse, the friendship that developed and the inspiration you have been will never be forgotten.
This spring/early summer we will be in Europe, but there will not be opportunity to visit Switzerland, rather we will be in Istanbul, Berlin, London and Brussels with flights connecting them. Consequently I will rely on your gallery to enjoy the changing seasons in the mountains.
Warmest regards dear friend,
Ian, my dear friend, I feel flattered, to read your words make me feel happy, thank you so much for your wonderful encouragement, I greatly apreciate it!
My best wishes for a safe journey to Europe! I do hope there will be some other opportunity for you to visit the Alpine countries and hopefully the Emmental. :)
When the next opportunity arises it will include the Emmental, May and Lauterbrunnen and Engadin!
As you realise it is a costly exercise especially now that retirement means I don't have an employer willing to pay for my travel! Retirement makes a difference in that regard.
I do recall the morning, in my early days on Panoramio when I discovered you had put one of my images into your Favourites, and I felt I could therefore call myself a photographer! - Ian Stehbens had graduated with an MB!
