Amazing birds are using this location with the amount of industry nearby. Is that a reactor?? Maybe we should start a forum topic for ironic landscapes...The lack of color is perfect for this shot. Cheers, pear

Hi Pear Welcome back to my gallery. Lack of color is almost mandatory in the UK (it was a winter shot)!!!

Interesting that you suggest a topic for ironic landscapes. I had noted that most of the shots are pretty pictures and I thought I would buck the trend. Read my thread and note the comments of AXOTA and British regarding a worst of Panoramio!

The cooling towers are for a chemical plant but amazingly behind the camera is a nuclear power station. The birds dont seem to mind and this area is one of the few breeding grounds in the UK of the Avocet
