Stonewall and dry grass in contre-jour modus lead the viewer to the line of the primary mountain. This line gives an idea of the steep, naked slope which carries the stonewalls like thick scars of sheep breeding for the wool industry. The secondary mountains form the background and the horizon and give an idea, how deep the valleys are where tenants and povery lived. Your picture is representative for the fascinating landscape of Peak District!L! Kind regards, Hans
