Good morning dear Ian,it must be a very special place... Fü

Good morning Vuk. Thank you for your encouraging comment. It is a delight to be able to share with you like this. How else could I come to know Serbia, and at the same time share some of our Aussie world. Thanks again.

Surely there are many thoughts, reveries and dreams that could be expressed poetically here. Thank you for the privilege of sitting here looking at this together, just for a while - at the beginning and end of our day.

It is a special place, dear Fü!

"The fountains mingle with the river, And the rivers with the ocean; The winds of heaven mix forever With a sweet emotion; Nothing in the world is single.. ..... ....."

Nothing in the world is single:

photographers receive what artists give,

artists see what musicians hear,

musicians share the rhythm of poets,

poets dream the thoughts of philosophers,

philosophers believe what scientists know,

scientists construct what creation is,

creation is what photographers receive.

What a wonderful circle!!! What a poetic abstract my dear friend!

At the end of a day again...I wish you poetic dreams with the pleasure of our sharing. Fü

Ian Stehbens on January 25, 2010

Dear ,

The circle of poetry is dedicated to an artist friend of mine who is a photographer and who lives on the otherside of the globe. Her purple luggage takes her on her travels along various tracks and her pomegranate takes her on the tracks that must be dreamt. No one in the world who dreams is single - we are interconnected.

Nice place. Great shot.

Cheers, Jeff

Juan Pastor on January 25, 2010

Great image, Ian . I like this natural composition.

Greetings, Juan.

Ian Stehbens on January 26, 2010

Jeff and Juan:

Thank you both for your affirming comments.

I found it very difficult to photograph this. There is the great contrast of bright light and dark cave, and I had to decide between a sharp quick exposure of the falling water, or a slower one. I'd love to have had a professional coach beside me at the time.

Warm regards,

Ian

Yet another beautiful view of this natural wonder. Nicely captured Ian. :)

“Leisure is a form of silence, not noiselessness. It is the silence of contemplation such as occurs when we let our minds rest on a rosebud, a child at play, a Divine mystery, or a waterfall.” ~Fulton J. Sheen

Best regards, Tom

Ian Stehbens on January 26, 2010

The addition of the quote from F J Sheen is much appreciated, Tom. I have a pipedream: to set up a small photographic gallery and having some stories, poetry or succinct prose to accompany the images would be good. But here in Panoramio we are able to create the prototype - together. Thanks for your appreciation of the image too.

You got a perfect light inside the cave. Amazing picture and place.

Nothing in the world is single:

Nada no mundo esta sozinho:

photographers receive what artists give,

fotografos recebem o que os artirtas oferecem,

artists see what musicians hear,

artistas veem o que os musicistas escutam,

musicians share the rhythm of poets,

musicistas mostram o ritmo dos poetas,

poets dream the thoughts of philosophers,

poetas sonham os pensamentos dos filosofos,

philosophers believe what scientists know,

filosofos acreditam o que os cientistas sabem,

scientists construct what creation is,

cientistas controem o que a criação é,

creation is what photographers receive.

criação é o que os fotografos recebem.

Very beautiful!!!!

Forgot... a Y*.

Ian Stehbens on February 3, 2010

Dear Silvy! What a wonderful surprise that you have translated my poetic circle.

Füsun (gezginruh) and I often have little poetic exchanges because of her love of poetry, so I hope she sees your translation. Welcome to our small poetic circle for when 2 becomes 3 it can be a circle now.

And also thanks for the Y*.
