Taken early hours midweek. Three shots blended and and cleaned up. Not a wonderful shot in anyway, but something about the polish on the Sphynx that l like. The Millenium Wheel in the bankground, near Westminster.
The damage along the right side of the Sphynx was caused by a bomb that exploded during World War I. The plinth is damaged and there are gouges out of the side of the Sphynx flank where the shrapnel tore into the bronze.
Y*. Methinks this is a wonderful shot. I see you are often very critical of your photos but if I could take shots like them I would be very happy indeed!
Best wishes, Brian.
