nice Finnish winterlandscape Timo!
Thanx Romina and Jasper :) Actually the light was a bit brighter at this moment but i left that to the level my camera thought it was, this version has a bit more atmosphere ;) Timo
Yes Romina, the opposite light made my camera to try one version like this (a bit darker than it actually was) BUT I left this here because of the better atmosphere. Some artistic freedom should be OK sometimes, I think ;)
very good foto
Thx a lot for your attention, Valkea Susi :) Timo

Nice mood and atmosphere
To answer your question, I visited your gallery. Your photos are impressive.
I especially liked this landscape. I often visit Finland (only 180 km to the nearest border crossing), I love its people and magnificent nature so carefully guarded state.
Now about your question.
The Nazis have never been on the opposite bank of the Neva River. The point of photo is located on the left bank of the Neva river toward Lake Ladoga (the largest freshwater lake in Europe) and St. Petersburg is at the delta of the Neva River, and on the shore of the Finnish Gulf. From the front lines in this place to Leningrad was only 40 km. and it is in this place was scheduled break the siege of Leningrad. At this point, focused German division "Dead Head" and in reserve was the Spanish "Blue Division".
I would be happy if the answer to your question.
