They look like guards lined up, to prevent us from crossing the stream to mystery land...

Guess it's just me reading to much fairy tales...

;-))

Thank you, Sile - I didn't think this was a very good image, but it shows the landscape for GE, and I liked the trapped clouds in the trees. On the other side of the low mountains, the weather is very different - very hot in Summer :O)

They are guards, dear Patricia, but they are no match for a bright M like you! Their job is to keep the gull trolls from perching and to anchor the magical boat docks. I'll meet you in mystery land and we'll read another fairy tale together under the enchanted clouds :O)

Many thanks, dear Peter, for enjoying this image, for the gift of a star, and for your prayers. The sun is shining brightly today, beautiful, after frost and fog. Daffodils and iris are blooming, trees are leafing, and the birds are trying to decide if they should pack their bags and move in to the birdhouses we've just installed. Saw a bald eagle yesterday - it flew low over our house - and some Redwing Blackbirds feeding in the garden. The Rufous hummingbirds will arrive soon from the south. Warm hugs :O)
