Thank you Antonio. It was one of the most memorable experiences of my life: to travel by river steamer along the great Yangtze and through the Three Gorges was a remarkable voyage, especially heading upstream slowly against the run of the river, for it allowed much more time for observation.

I agree, MisMar. The gorges are awesome, beautiful, and full of surprising scenes.

That's exactly how I felt that first morning in the Gorge, as we cruised up the Yangtze - Changjiang. Thank you for your visit and response, Pequeña miss.

Thankyou Drezzy da for your appreciative comment. It is an amazing landscape indeed. Every section of the river as it passes through the Three Gorges was majestic, colourful and enthralling to this geographer.

Dear Cuentos Largos,

Have you introduced a new rule to art, or to photography? As for Panoramio, from the very beginning, the site developers were wiser than that allowing for square, panorama, portrait and a myriad of other formats. There are many occasions when vertical dimensions give majesty to a landscape, and this was one of them.
