Nice building, nice photo too! Whats for functions for this house (tower) now? Hotel, restaurant, museums? Thank You - a

Hi Ainars. The building is really now just a tourist attraction, Broadway and the Cotswolds are very popular with visitors.

The ground floor houses a small souvenir shop (a small shop that sells souvenirs, rather than a shop that sells small souvenirs :) )

The next two floors house exhibits about the building, and the top floor is an open viewing platform.

Thank You for explanations! It looks very attractive and rises high interest to come one day and see this with my eyes! I just guess, this must be part of medieval castle or something from Roman empire times. I will try look over internet resources for more info on this. :) With regards a

Matthew: (Correction) Would this image be of use to you and others? If not, let me know and I'll delete this message.

No problem - I've uploaded it already. I'm really disappointed with the way things have (not) progressed since the Google issue.

Don't get me wrong, I'm really happy for the Panoramio team (and slightly envious), they have spent many many hours getting the site running and building the Panoramio community. Without this community though, the site would have had no real value - and that is what upsets me the most.

magic surf bus on July 11, 2007

Thanks Matthew - nice picture by the way!

I tried to mention on the Blog how a community thrives on communication but (ironically) the message was vetoed and not displayed. I know what Jim Royle would have to say about the alleged 'security issue'...

I am standing in line with You gentlemans, in your demand!

But again, as IT manager (for my company where I working many years) I can understand Panoramio headoffice team too. User pictures normally resides in one or few main and backup file servers, but forums or blogs normally be saved on IIS servers. Accounts, passwords and settings resides on third group of such servers. Must be complex elephant task to manage all this thoroughly and move all this hardware sets from one office to other. If whole team is busy and overloaded with merge process with Google house, this might be not easy for same team to manage all tasks in time. But absolute, than such time scale overload is not OUR problem at all - that is true! With regards to Mr. Magic Surf Bus and Mr .Matthew - ainars

Matthew Walters on July 11, 2007

Hi Ainars. I think the main concern is the lack of information from the team, no updates in the blog etc. I did have an email from Eduardo last week that said the forum would be up again this week, but we are still waiting.

By the way, it's funny how words translate - it would be a mammoth task to manage the transition, not an elephant task :) (Thanks for communicating in English, though!)

Hi Matthew! Great photo. The clouds are special in order to complement the frame. Excellent shot!

Matthew Walters on July 12, 2007

Thank you Sandro and Luis. The clouds certainly help, in this case a deep empty blue sky wouldn'r have been as interesting.
