hi Peter hope all is well.I think the council house looked better with the grass outside it.Best Wishes Roger
I agree and if you had a few pints in the town you could recline here without really being noticed. Would not get away with it on today's concrete!
All the Best Peter
I spent the summer of 73 working at Birmingham Airport (by coincidence) Peter but I am struggling to remember where I stayed. Sheldon rings a bell and a pub with the longest bar in England. Strange memories from a distant youth. Thanks for evoking them with this picture.
If you click here you can see a picture by roger a as it is today. You will see The Floozie in the Jacuzzi!
He lives over Sheldon way (the Bluenose quarter of Birmingham) and I will ask him if it was The Swan as I seem to remember it boasted the longest bar in Europe. I think
The Swan has also now disappeared.
The SWAN it is Peter - what an excellent memory you have. Mine needs reformatting!
All the best.
Oh dear, I remember in my younger days where I used to seat with my ice cream.. How times have changed and this "Floozy..", not sure what to make out of it..:}
PS.. I think it is time to dig out mine old photos, might have something to look at..if there is..
