Another view of this Maine's most famous and beloved landmark. Probably the most photographed of all US lighthouses, even Henry Wadsworth Longfellow to comtemplate life and draw inspiration from this celebrated sentinel.

The very fact it's survived nearly 2 1/4 centuries on the shore is enough to impress me! And it looks like it was a great day to be snapping pictures, too! Hoorah for ya'll!

Keep 'em coming,

Brian

Thanks Brian for your comments. As always, we appreciate you stopping by. Yes, we plan to keep 'em coming. Finding the time is easy, finding the mood to do so is something else. It's our pleasure to add one of yours to our favorites.

Had to drop back here to make a comment about finding the mood. Funny how that works. I have tons I could post but the mood has been off of late. It took my spending a whole day trekking here & there by myself with no time limit to eek out a few & get me back on.

I was really excited to see your new photos of Maine. Funny as just yesterday I was thinking that Maine is a place I would like to visit again if we are still able to travel when the time comes that we can. At the moment it is limited by family commitments.

And to think they have been on here a month and I have missed them. I must check to see....I must have missed adding you to my favorites.

Thank You Joy for the comeback. We hope that you can return to Maine. It's a magical place that calls you back over and over. Thank you so much for adding us to your favorites but you did not have to do that. It does not bother us a bit if we are not on someone's favorites. Everyone is different and has different taste. We really do appreciate you taking the time to make so many nice comments this evening. As for the mood thing, we simply have hundreds we would love to post from our travels to so many places and yet, we have to really be in the mood to do so. We are a crossover from the film world but little by little we are getting used to digital and with every use of the camera, we learn a little more. So many of our really good pictures are on film that will eventually have to be scanned and by then we may both be in a nursing home. Hope you have a very pleasant evening.

LOL! I know the feeling...I have boxes and boxes stacked to the ceiling in my basement office.

I am becoming dependent on notifications to check photos as I have less time now for Pano so I want to be sure that I know when you post something new:) I love being an armchair traveler!
