once called lake bula for the main cook for the migrant black farmers who worked here at the potato farm (Clark Seed Farm) that went out of business around 1970. The ponds were made for irrigation. My husband's family (Clark-not related to the potato farm) had a farm that bordered the potato farm and owned the cemetery where some of the famous Rockefeller family were buried.

Very interesting. Where is the old cemetery up there? I lived in an apartment in this area for 5 years and drove thru there tonight just looking around. This pond area was for sale years ago. Many people fish it in the summer.. not sure who the owner is.
