Unda J....Thanks ;>) It was the chimneys that attracted me also ;>)
picsonthemove~~~Good to see you pics..I appreciate your lovely comments ;.)
Auguri Sergio Alessi----- La vostra visita amichevole e buon commento è molto apprezzato ;>)
kasiulowa~~~~You are most welcome Kasia ;>)
Ah-Pong~~~I often wonder how the chimney sweeps coped with the close proximity of them all..There must have been a lot of soot..
Rafal Ociepka..Hello Rafal..It is good to have you visit me again..thank you for your interest in this photo..
I believe some of the buildings are older than 250 years..They are very solidly built from locally quarried, high grade sandstone..The roofs are covered with Flemish pan tiles. These tiles are in great demand for re-building work..Modern pan tiles are a different shape and size, no good for repairing the old roofs..
I'm grateful for your visit and kind appraisals..Thank you
Nice title and a breathtakingly beautiful photo Jim! Wonderfully sharp and clear!! Like 7!
Do you live so close to the sea?
Greetings from Ria
Hello Ria and a warm welcome to my gallery ;>)
Your friendly visit and thoughtful comments are much appreciated ;>)
I can't think of any logical reason why I took this photo..Perhaps it was the illogical, randomly dispersed buildings which appealed to my eyes..perhaps it was just my love of tall chimneys ;>) who knows..one thing for sure, I'm glad you liked it ;>)

Clive on Beara~~~~You are more than welcome Clive and I'm grateful for your kind appraisal..I was attracted to the chaotic lay-out of the buildings.. Thankfully, the planners had no influence 300 years ago ;>))
My sincere thanks to you all for your precious feed-back ;>)
so many people go through their days not seeing the simple beauty of their world through the camera's eye. Great vision and cropping. "like#15"
