sandart...Hi! Alexander ;>).. The village is usually packed with people. The narrow streets echo with the sounds of happiness ;>) I'm grateful for your good comment..thank you ;>)

Mário Eloi Castro~~~~Greetings Mário---much appreciated compliment and visit ;>)

Teresa Jankowska----The village, built centuries ago, was once one of the wealthiest fishing ports in the UK..Today, there is very little commercial activity and fishermen no longer own these houses. Thank you for your good comment ;>)

joyfotos...Thanks Joy..that is indeed a fine and generous compliment on my work and very much appreciated... ;>) This place is caught in a time warp. The character of the village (its occupants) has largely disappeared..These characterful cottages are the haunt of tourists and week-end retreater's..There are very few locals..This leaves the village feeling sterile..a great pity really ;>)

M.Curran..Your affirmation is much appreciated Martin...The coastal region is well known for its quaintness..These are unique places from another time..frozen for posterity..Apart from the high cost of parking your car (assuming you can find a space) and (assuming you can find a toilet) extortionate public convenience charges (40p per pee) You should find the experience well worth the effort (I hope) ;>)

Many thanks for stopping by guys ;>)

Kind regards!!

Dear friends, I really must take more care when checking my photos, it is very remiss of me and I humbly apologise for the late response!

G. Romanini~~~~~Greetings Gilvan ;) this pretty little village was renowned for its smuggling activities in centuries past. I'm glad you liked it!

EdwardTurJ~~~A warm welcome Edward, the village is popular with the tourists. All the houses are huddled together in a steep valley gorge and it literally ends at the edge of the sea!

George Chow~~~Thank you George your nice comment is much appreciated!

Christos Theodorou~~~Hello dear Christos, it's such a pleasure to receive your kind remarks, thank you!

Andy Rodker~~~~I'm really glad you stopped by Andy, my gallery is in dire need of maintenance. Of course, your generous compliment is most gratefully received!

May I take this opportunity to thank you all for spending a little time in my gallery..I value your thoughtful words, and complimentary remarks. :)

Kind regards!
