Very nice New Road... Like 7! Greetings from Paraguay, Boettner
What a wonderful gathering place. You make us all want to join right in. As always what beautiful warm light!
Fine name, in my mother's family town in North Italy (Caldonazzo, Trento)they lived at the "Case Nuove" (New Houses) that were from the middle XVIII century... Here in South America, and particularly in my country, Uruguay, that is considered "very ancient"... Best regards, Edmundo
I need to start this with a massive apology to those who were kind enough to post comment many months ago!
Jan de Boer~~~Many Yorkshire fishing villages are colourful as was the tradition to paint each one a different colour! It adds character to the streets!
Boettner~~~Thank you!! The so called New Road was built more than a century ago to replace the original cart track which ran adjacent to the cliff edge, eventually collapsing as the cliffs were eroded by the sea!
joyfotos~~Much appreciated Joy..That special light is a common feature along the coast here :)
ernest czudor~~Thank you for your visit and nice compliment!
Rodríguez Prati~~~Greetings Edmundo :) The names of our streets and alley ways owe much to the historical events which occurred many centuries ago..Many of them are named after famous, or infamous characters whose influence was felt in the vicinity for many years! I enclose a link HERE referring to the origins of some street names in my home town!
To you all, I express my sincere thanks for your visits, endorsements, kind appraisals and precious comments
