Thank you Ancsa! But I didn't mean the car. :-)
It's the sea here, which I found interesting, because at low tide you can pass to Omey Island by car! see title!
I know what u mean I just like that car!:)
It was my hired car and did quite well. :-)
Merci, Domi! C'est ici, qu'on peut traversé la mer avec la voiture pour visiter l'île, quand il y a la mer basse. J'ai fait la photo à peu près au milieu du passage. Merci!
Une bonne soirée,
Good heavens, May - I haven't heard of Omey Island and it is amazing that you can actually DRIVE THERE at low tide. But then so much of Ireland was amazing to me, an old "Suid-Afrikaner"...!! ;D
That's a great photo, thank you - very very interesting. Our tides in SA are not nearly as pronounced as those in Europe - they only seem to advance a few metres higher up the beach and higher up the jetty, at high tide.
Warmest wishes, Hazel
I've just discovered now that it was a Ford Focus, and it's the same car which I learnt how to drive in this summer!:D "my" was black too!:P
Have a nice day!:)
Hazel, thank you so much! It was an amazing adventure, I was surprised that the surface was so compact. I asked a local person who drove along from the other side, if it was safe at this time, he reassured me, but still, I drove cross-eyed to the island of fear, the water might surge from both sides. ;)) Warm wishes, May
Hi, Ancsa, congratulations to your achievement of the driving license! I liked this Ford Focus very much, it was brandnew, my only fear was, I might scratch it along the thorns, which stuck out in the narrow roads. But the only really challenge was, when I had to pass a tar-sprayer in function, but since the car was black... ;)) That was in 2006.
This summer instead I was very unlucky with the car company, where I rented the car. The first one they gave me, broke down after two hours drive, then I had to wait for six hours until I got an old replacement car Hyundai, which was a nightmare, not even the radio was functioning. I was prepared to anything on the lonely roads I usually choose, travelling alone. The first time in my life that I was tired of my holiday. I will never again hire a car of the company Sixt/Murray at Dublin Airport. Unfortunately I couldn't choose the renting company, because I hired the car through an agency on the continent.
My very best wishes, May
I really loved this kind of car,it's beautiful!:) and I see that "your" was brandnew(2006),as I can see it on the licence plate. When we were in Ireland, our car was a Nissan Almera,we hired it at the airport.
Im sorry that you had problems with the car company in this summer..:( I hope Ireland and the photos compensated you! :)
Waiting for ur new shots!:)
Fajne auto - mam taki sam. L+F
Kidurn, many thanks my friend! Yes, the car was great, congratulation to your car! :) I hired this one, when I was in Ireland. In the photo above I was on my way to the island, crossing the sea at low tide as you can see on the map.
Warm regards, May
