How fascinating! In the Great Plains of the US there have been a few missile silos and other small military installations recycled for housing, but it has not built into a major movement, at least I have not heard so. I did hear that one missile silo was converted to a rock-climbing gym, and I have heard there are a few others that became homes.
I think most of our grain silos still have grain in them, and I suspect abandoned ones are sitting empty. I just think it has not occurred to anyone!
Well, Franco, I thought I might show some urban landscapes for a change, but I need more experience in that field, I really do. Anyway, it is nice to show off Oslo on GE, even if the pics are not star quality.
Totally different subject matter however! It would be hard to recreate this image without the apparent life within. While this subject has retained a function throughout the transition, the subject matter of my silo retained no apparent function leaving it standing but not living. Both styles are appropriate for their subject matter

Now, that is serious recycling! Also a beautiful photo. I like the general view as well.

Thanks Nicolas. Actually several silos in Oslo are used like this. I should think this is happening elsewhere too?

Ciao Snemann. The last shots aren't a snemann's style, but this is very interesting moment.
