Dear Ian,

I have some informations about your Great Great Grandfather's birthplace. I talked to my mother and showed her this picture of the house and she remembered quickly where it is. As you mentioned the name Sachsenbande you are right, thats the local name of this area. My mother knew that in the 1960s there lived a family named Denker. As a child she played with a son of them. A few years later they moved away and a family named Thode relocated to the area. This old house then became a pigsty. After the Thodes moved away in the early 1970`s a family from Berlin settled in.
