Yes, Peggy, it's beautiful here. I have taken this photo in June this year. I hope to be able to put quite a few more pictures from last year from different points of Achill Island. This one is from the Sound of Achill, a very dangerous place, where many men have lost their life in the sea. There is a permanent lifeguard stationed on Achill Island.

There is a legend around this tower about Grace O'Malley 1530–1603), O'Malley is sometimes known as "The Sea Queen Of Connaught".

Peggy, how lovely for you! I can only agree with you and I hope to stay a bit longer next time, when I will be there. Hello May, I don't remember how I found your photos, but I am glad I did. I was probably surfing Ireland. I was in Switzerland about 11 years ago or so. It was so beautiful. We took a tour with a Polka band and had a great time. We got stuck up it the Swiss mountains on our tour bus, while we were waiting for a new bus they took off the emergency hatch on the ceiling of the bus, I could not believe how many stars we saw, it was breath taking. Hello Peggy! What a tour in such a short time! You have seen a lot then. It must be quite difficult to remember in which country you have seen what.

My fotos should soon be available again, so I can continue with the Irish fotos of Achill Island. I'll start posting with some tonight, if everything is OK.

Hi May, I am glad you are posting more pictures of Ireland, I have some pictures that I don't remember where I took them. The second time I went, we did a bus tour again, and saw too much. I went with 2 of my sisters, 1 niece, my best friend and my daughter. We had tea and scones, in a wonderful old kitchen. My husband didn't want to come, so it was nice with it being all girls. I understand about the e-mail, it is kind of scary out there, alot of kooks. LOL I just erased my note with my e-mail address on it. I will be checking back to see your pictures. Take care Peggy
