Is it in the nature reserve? A leopard is probably the most dangerous predator on the Earth.. so I wonder: Sue, how did you take these photos... maybe through a window of car?

Hi again Peter thanks for viewing my photos. I love Africa. The Masai Mara is not fenced in, in fact the animals migrate from Tanzina's Serengeti to the Masai Mara every year, and the back again. This young leopard, as all leopards, lived alone in the low hills of the Mara plain, among the rocks where she could not be detected. It took us a whole day just to find her and only then when she actually begin to move in order to get up and hunt in the cool of the evening. I have been to Africa numerous times and only twice saw a leopard, this being the closes one. She walked right by the truck I was sitting in, and yes, I did take the photo out of the window, but it was open and she was within reach, had I been foolish enough to try and touch her, which I wasn't! After she walked by my knees begin to shake, some from excitment of seeing her so close, and some from fear of the close encounter. Thanks again for your interest. Sue

Thank you Sergey, very kind words. This Leopard is only about 2 years old and very, very pretty young lady. Greetings from Texas, Sue

Very nice close up, of this lovely cat.

Hi acats thanks. Yes, she walked right by the vehicle I was in. I was leaning out of the window taking a video of her coming when all of a sudden I realized that I didn't take a photo of her, so I threw my video camera on the seat and grabbed my camera -- thus this very close photo of her looking up at me some 2 feet away as I leaned out of the vehicle's window. I could have reached out and touched her head -- but then I probably wouldn't have a hand left :-) greetings, Sue
