I wonder if these ladies know, they have been photograhed and thier behinds posted on Panoramio?

Hi Mari, I hope at least you like the picture. Don't worry: these ladies know their behinds were being photographed and at least they agreed to have their behinds published in a Belgian magazine so I suppose they're also okay with it being posted on Panoramio...

Well, Thank you Hans,
You ankswered my question, yes, I did like the colors and I do not worry, it is their behinds anyways not mine; in my case I would of charge you pretty good por posting it anywere, and I'm sure you would of paid for too!!! .
Thank you for getting back to me, Mari11

Hi Mari11, I'm sorry but I never pay for pictures. ;-) Usually a smile does the trick.

I will not enter into this type of conversations on Panoramio, BUT, I can assure you, a smile will not do for me , and you would of paid for mine!!

Hi Mari11, what do you mean with "this kind of discussions"? Because I think it's a very interesting photography topic... When to pay for pictures? I -for instance- never do.

Well my friend,
Maybe some day you will, specially in USA, if you really really want a picture people will charge you. I understand in undeveloped countries maybe a smile like you say will do, unfortunately, they do not have a clue were their picture is going to be posted, will be nice to pay them something ; don't you think? Professional Photographers pay for.....

Hans,
How many pictures taken in USA have you uploaded? I counted about 235. I really like the portraits. Congratulations!!!

Draken,
Por que te incumbes en lo que no es contigo?, I never said I do not like Hans pictures, so please , calmate de los nervios.
Hans Sterkendries, on April 28, 2008, said:
Hi draken, thanks for the compliment. I know portraits are not really Panoramio material (or at least Google Earth material) but I always thake pleasure in people enjoying them.
I didn't really count my number of portraits. All I know is I've been to the US three times now (including Florida before I went digital). Never had to pay anything.
Neither in other "developed countries". Do you think France is a developed country? ;-) I once had a Canadian girl asking to see the picture. But then she just smiled, said it looked good and took off.
It's a matter of approach, I guess.
Sure, some people try to sell their images, but I never wanted a picture so badly that I was willing to pay for it. For every paying photo opportunity, there are ten free ones waiting just around the corner... A Professional Photographer knows that.

But remmenber my question was always about these ladies behinds been photographed, not about regular pictures?? Have you posted any Florida pictures like this ones, I have not seen it.

Hi Hans, Well, I know many users are mainly interested in getting as many pictures as possible in Google Earth. I admit it is good to be chosen but it is not my main goal. I rather share (partager?) photos with fellows photographers from all over the world and enjoy different styles and points of view. I don't confuse Panoramio with Google Earth and I know that you don't either.
As to the photographic opportunities...ufff, there are so many that it wouldn't cross my mind to pay for them. I am not in the least nervous about it, on the contrary I am absolutely relaxed.

Hi draken, you're right not to confuse Panoramio with Google Earth. I put a lot of pictures online knowing that they will never make it to GE. But at least the other community members got to appreciate them... I don't think a lot of your architectural elements will make it to GE but I like them. They give a good impression of the architectural richness of Buenos Aires.

Hi Mari,
I'm sorry but my Florida pictures date back from 2004, before I got my first digital camera... I should maybe look into scanning a few of them but I'm already behind with posting. :-(
Whereas your question is concerned: I really don't see any harm in posting an anonymous behind. Especially because it's anonymous! Basically, this could be anyone walking on a beach in Jamaica. Nobody will ever know who these girls are. Plus: it's no naked butt either. This is beach wear. They were there, dressed like that, for everyone to see.
Still, for the record: I DID ask. And I actually have a whole bunch of pictures from their behind. I just liked the fact that they both had Jamaica on the pants, and more specifically in the colours of the national flag. :-)
