Nick over here in the west on a clear winters night the temp can fall to 0 the lowest recorded in our area is -0.8c but on the other hand summer can get to 45-46c mostly 40c though. big waves today but it a cool 14c again long suit. a bit of info for you not sure if sandy is quite the same may be milder.steve

steve111 ~ I prefer cool to hot Steve ~ just as well really I guess ~ I've been in minus 35C or so up near the Arctic Circle in Northern Sweden and find 20-25C comfy enough in summer, more is too sticky. Yeah I would guess Sandy gets a bit hotter occasionally actually, but usually coolerI'm sure ~ my cousin Darb up North West of Mackay certainly matches your highs, of course the pair of them have had lots of rain recently. The great surf must be a big big plus though :)))

Hi little Grasshopper and Steve...yep where I am over this side of the country we are in a more temperate climate...down to about 9degrees in winter but the days around 16 or more I guess... though we can have colder snaps at times...with some frost...and usually up to around 28 to 35 in summer but with the hot weather this year over 40 at times...its not the heat though but the humidity that comes with it...85 to 95 percent this year...and that just saps the strength out of you...most yukky ;)

I'm with you Nick I love the winter...much rather the cold fresh mornings...bit of nights when you can snuggle in bed and be nice and warm...or have a fire nice...againgst trying to cool off all the doesn't work :)

Hope your both having a good day...catch ya later from Sandy ;)
