Church of St. Anne Shandon, Cork, Ireland

One of the best known churches in Ireland.

It is tiny, not much bigger than a chapel, with a proportionally over-sized (but by no means huge) spire. Its elevated location makes it look impressive. It can be seen from practically everywhere in the city.

Thanks, Maarten, Kevin and stimp ℓton - this is indeed going to be a great "seller" for me as a print. It required a bit of twisted gymnastics to get the right angle of view to actually get the whole church into the picture.

WoW Feexixx! I didn't realise that the church was so small. It's so famous, I expected it to be much bigger! I suppose, it's simply the fact that you can see from almost every point in the city - as you said?

I'll have to give it a B.O. since I've never seen it from this angle before!
