After the storm of Feb. 25, 2010, a new king reigns over the North Pool...Succumbing to those hurricane-force winds, Stan has been reduced to a shadow of his former self :(
But at least he still stands, hopefully to remain at Ollie's side for many years to come!
We are going through a nasty storm at the moment, not too bad where we are but other parts of Melbourne it has been terrible, poor Stan but as you said he is still there, what a grouse sky you have here, wonderful clouds with lots of colours. Cheers, D.
Outstanding shot Kamalyn.Y*. Magnificent colours in this sky.Very very nice indeed. Its always great when a photo turns out like this, isn't it!.My Best Regards,David
I like it! :)
Wow! This should go in a contest!
Thanks very much Dianne, Tery, David, Guy, Mick, and Liam! ha-ha Liam, I guess it would be suitable for the NPC this month, but I'd already entered a building photo, before I realized this months topic sort of evolved into 'sunset'. Cheers everyone!
A very balanced and harmonious image - wonderful.
Thanks very much tu-quoque!
Very nice sunset on this one,
Hugs from Porto,
Thanks very much Conquilha!
Well, it is not only me who is mourning the passing of the taller half of my favorite photo subjects!
Don't know how long this link will stay active - but today there's even an article in the major Boston newspaper (not even just a local Plum Island paper!) about the loss of this stalwart icon. The article headline says it all!
Plum Island’s landmark juniper duo reduced to a lone tree
A little vote on bean and the pea.
A big vote for Ollie & Stan even though he no longer stands tall. Cheers, Dianne
Thanks for the Votes Guy and Dianne! Stan's ghost, the smushed bean, appreciates them very much!
VOTED! Great moment!
Best wishes Micha
Thanks very much Micha!
