Dear Vuk,
It is a joy to welcome you to my gallery. I want to thank you for your generous visit and for your very affirming comments.
_Images such as this of great artwork are mportant to me for each time I visit a gallery of sculpture garden I learn more about creativity. And I try to create my own art, even when I am photographing the work of others.
In this case, it was from the perspective of my surprise, unexpectedly finding this on the riverbank /lake shore, early one morning. It seemed, I surmised that this had been beached here overnight and that the people had fled or concealed themselves. It seemed that it had served as a vehicle and also as a "walkway" - a boardwalk for asylum seekers to arrive here hoping for a protective welcome, for sanctuary, but they needed to do so under cover of darkness. I imagined my surprise when I went to the river bank, this morning!
And as I photographed the evidence, I sensed I was being watched, but I didn't know where they were concealed. I waited a while.
Kind regards,
Ian
