Thank you, Hana, Ria, Bedri, Daniela, nctm, A.Ypeij, Margot, and JL. Actually the temperature was just near the freezing mark, so it wasn't uncomfortable taking pictures. Before last year, I'd only had one fleeting glimpse of Niagara Falls in the winter, but since visiting a year ago and now, I've come to think that it's an especially wonderful time to see them!

I study a 19th-C. painter, Ferdinand Richardt, who made many views of it. Several 19th century artists painted it in winter, especially Regis Gignoux.
