Thanks, Roger and Anne. We tried to go to a sing-along, but when we arrived the room was full. So we drove to an overlook and waited for the sun to set. Much nicer than a sing-along! "Music" for the eyes instead of the ears!
Hello Marilyn
I like this sunset, it is really beautiful,
thanks for your kind comments on my new photos, I took more than 900 photos in 8 days :) I will have new photos to upload for at least a week or two! ;)
Thanks, Rich, Alex, and Syl. I know how frustrating it is, Alex, when there's a great sunset but no chance for a photo. And Syl, we have much from you to look forward to!!
It was really frustrationg Marilyn, it had so nice colours.
The Palete started with a brown on the bottom, then some red, orange and yellow, going up for green then blue, was fantastic.
My most frustrating plane experience was when we flew around clouds that were producing tornadoes which killed more than 200 people, though of course we didn't know that yet. Do you know tornadoes? Storms that produce funnel-shaped clouds that do great damage when they touch ground. But the clouds! Like those of thunderstorms but gigantic--much taller, and larger at the top than at the bottom. Breathtaking! No camera!!
Thanks, YBMW and steandeb from long ago, and Bjørn today. I know that each sunset was different, but this one was like none I'd ever seen before, looking almost as though it were painted with a giant brush! Greetings from Canada. Marilyn
Thank you, Delfina, for your comments and the invitation. I am happy to join the group, and then I substituted the "red" picture for this one. I, too, think this is a beautiful sunset, but it doesn't have the necessary number of yellow stars - and I think that is a very good standard you have set.
Thank you Marilyn for joining my group Beautiful Sky. I am glad you accepted my invitation.
But you do not need Yellow Stars for the group Beautiful Sky.
The 10 YS is a standard for my other group - the Amazing Sky. I forgot I invited you earlier to that group, but you unfortunately rejected my invitation because you did not think the photo I chose qualifies.
"Many thanks, Mira, but I don't think this one qualifies (even though I like it better than many of mine that do)!"
Unfortunately I cannot invite you again to join Amazing Sky because you earlier rejected my invitation (the system doesn't allow me to do it). So, if you would like to join my other group too (Amazing Sky), please chose one of your photos with 10 or more YS and ask to join the group Amazing Sky on my page.
I would be happy to see you in my other group too. :)
Thank you, Delfina, for your patience and explanation. I have no idea how I managed to look at the rules for the wrong group when I was accepting your kind invitation! I hope it is all straightened out now.
