Hahnheide Hohenfelde Kultstätte
The Hahnheide is a mighty forest north-east of Trittau. At the eastern border of the 'Forst', near Hohenfelde, is an area that was used for cultic purposes in early iron age. There are 40 Schalensteine (cup marked stones) and a number of stone rows listed in the official papers.
These remains are hard to find, most of it is overgrown. Still visible is a small circle of stones with some 7m diameter. It is a beautiful atmospheric spot. The biggest stone of the circle has a strange carving, a 'Furchenstein'.
