Thank You Doerthe for visiting and for nice comments. Our national bird is "Laulujoutsen" (direct translation: Singing Swan -Cygnus cygnus). They are not very aggressive, but if neccesary they will defend their family - very big white swans! Nowadays very common here, but some decades ago very rare, because they use to hunt them and eat! It could be that the "Trumpeter Swan" is similar to your swan. But I think they have a black bill. I saw several Tundra Swans last year on their migrating route.
