This is a lovely secton of the Clyde walkway.

This sycamore tree has disappeared hence the title!

Strange how a tree this size can disappear :-// The circle around it almost looks as if they had marked out the circumference of the roots. Was there not a trace of where it had been once it had gone?

Hi Lesley I suspect it fell naturally & the farmer/landowner removed the wood. Or floods took it away. The ground around the tree were simply paths worn by cattle & people. The photo was taken six years ago & is not an area I walk regularly because there are often cattle in the vicinity.
